Checked the instructions on the manufacturer's website and it states this crap can be installed on ceilings with pitches from 2/12 through 12/12 (where 12/12 means 45˚). My angle is 40˚, or 10/12 pitch. I bought some lights that I installed under my "upstairs" stairs to light my basement stairs. Due to the garbage angle from the factory and not being able to adjust it whatsoever, the light shone in my face, blinding me. It's not so great to go down steps blind. I don't know how the monkeys who designed this static thing allowed their advertisement team to list it as appropriate for basically any pitch.

Great product for the price. Not the most heavy duty, but either are the ones at the big box store for at least 3 times the price. I put them in a rental property and am very happy about the purchase..... they work.

Make sure you order the correct size. This model is for a slopping ceiling which we had. Since I was replacing a broken ring, the installation was easy. Order came quick with no problems.

I have been looking around for these for awhile and was unable to find them. I had a painter come in and he broke a couple in our house. Of course I had to replace all of them in our ceiling and the local guys all said they could get them for over $40 a piece. These fit perfectly and look great at half the cost.
