This product is advertised as a 120 volt light and even specifies the type of bulb required.Unfortunately, it is only a lens and there are no instructions stating a compatible light even if you wanted to buy one.Don't bother buying this if you want an actual light.

Really nice product. I've always liked halo products.

Before you purchase this product make sure you purchase the halo that you see "other people bought with item". If you don't get this it won't work. You also need to purchase a GU10 LED lamp (bulb). I found it at Home Depot. The lamp is not included and the description does not say anything about that the lamp type is. I got a 350 lumens and it really lights up the shower. I did have to hire an electrician to run a wire to the light and put in a switch on the wall. While he was there I had in install it for me. So far it is working great, but I wish there was more detail in the description about what all you need to purchase with this item.

I was originally concerned with the dimensions of these recessed lights. I thought that 2 inches would potentially be too small and that the light wouldn't be adequate... However, you have to remember that the typical light that goes in here is a halogen, which are very powerful. These are great with halogens in them. They're very attractive and modern looking.

Good qualty, not hard to install as long as you have the correct housing for this type of fixture. Has not had any problems after about a year so far.

Shower trim is very nice looking and ties in better with other recessed trims than traditional glass covered shower trims. I have two of them installed in a long shower space with 120V 50W equivalent LED bulbs and an LED dimmer. It looks really nice and shines a medium wide beam of light that reflects mainly off the floor to light the shower space. The baffle would allow the light to spread a little wider, but the LED bulbs are spot lights.I am a huge Halo fan. All of their fixtures and trims have been extremely well built and more reliable than any other brand I have dealt with. It has always been worth paying a little more for them.

We have a fairly big stall shower, footprint bigger than the size of a std bathtub -- 4x5 feet. I had planned to have two of these installed, but ended up with space for just one because there was duct work in the way. Anyway, I wasn't too concerned since most showers get by with just one light. But the opening on this is only 2x2 inches, so even with the 50 watt halogen bulb it throws a very small amount of light (especially with the black baffle). My sense is that it gives about one quarter the light you'd get from a typical 4" round incandescent shower light. It does look very cool, but I think you need one of these for every 4 square feet of your shower/bath footprint to get a "normal" amount of light. I should have had about 4 for my shower.
