love how it looks in the shower and how the lense focuses light in the small space. OMG getting the heavy lense off without dropping in on the tile shower floor is next to impossible. I only bought this light for the lense and threw the can part away. After 5.5 years my bulb went out. I love my brighter new LED bulb, but not sure how to ever get that lense off again without dropping it. I think you lift up, twist, shake cajole and hope it drops into your hands without slipping through your fingers. It does not drop out evenly or easily.

Easy to install. Halo products (I've used many) are always of good quality and worth the price.

Order arrived broken but Amazon quickly replaced it. Does not come with instructions on how to install and nothing on manufacturer's website either. Eventually figured out glass has to be pushed up and turned to remove lens, then install trim into light, install bulb and replace lens.

Exactly what I was looking for. Was after the lens because I broke the original. Fits just like the original.

I used this outdoors for some soffit lights in front of my house to illuminate my front entrance. It's actually a pretty nice recessed trim kit.I picked this model intentionally for it's superb ability to stop hornets and wasps from making nests inside the fixture. Works great with only minimal dead gnats to clean off the lenses every fall.Only one problem. The constricting cone fit around the bulb, partnered with the glass lens, stops air flow. This in turn drastically reduces the life of LED bulbs. Bulbs that should last 20 years, burn out in a matter of a season or so. The plastic of the bulb actually melts! The summer probably cooks them and then in the winter cold the bulb components become super brittle, finishing the bulb's demise. They actually seem to go bad every winter.I don't think you'll have any issue with traditional regular light bulbs.I'm an LED fanatic, so I'm still using the actual high hat fixture, but now without this trim surround system.I'm presently trying a variation of the Cree CR4 LED insert light which has an Edison threaded adaptor. Hoping the heatsink of this insert LED light, combined with the roominess of the actually HALO high hat fixture will finally bring an end to my seasonal LED bulb replacements.
