I was pleasantly surprised to find these look as good in person as they do in the manufacturer's photos. I've seen some very expensive guitars that had plain and boring tuners which seems odd to me. These are ornate and nicely detailed. The buttons are probably plastic, but they don't look or feel cheap. There are no visible seams like you sometimes see with plastic parts. The gears look cleanly cut and don't feel rough when turning. I appreciate the full engineering drawing from the manufacturer to guarantee fit prior to ordering.

I installed this set of Kooing Tech guitar tuners on my antique Gretsch classical guitar, and they not only look stunning, but they work quite well. The machine heads turn very smoothly, and there is virtually no looseness of the shafts. While I had to drill out a few mounting screw holes, it was a quick and easy swap out.

After restring the guitar the Button on one of the strings just spun. Tightening the set screw did nothing to resolve the spinning button. In fact, the more pressure that was applied to the set screw, the worst impact was observed on the tuner. I expect that this defect will probably occur with the remaining tuning pegs, over time. It may also not support high tension strings.I'm left with a newly strung guitar, with a defective tuning machine head, that will now have to be removed, returned and then I will have to search for a replacement part that doesn't have this inherent defect. I guess I could get the bottle of super glue out, and avoid the return and reinstallation, but why go through the hassle to replace a product that is bad. I could return the part for a refund, but then I couldn't use the guitar in the interim. Best course of action is to avoid this part in the first place.I had high expectations for this part, because most of the machine head rollers on the market are too short for my head, or the alignment was off where it would not fit. This part fits, but is defective.
