I absolutely love this cutter. I have arthritis in my knuckles and struggled with pen style cutters. This pistol grip is the bomb. My hands don’t hurt anymore when cutting glass.

I am a beginner and was struggling cutting glass. A friend had this so I tried it. Suddenly I could easily cut glass. I’m not really strong so this helps and I can cut curves! I bought one and I just love it. It just makes the cutting so smooth and I’m much more accurate. I’m still a beginner but I’m not struggling with this anymore.

Finally figured out how to cut stained glass, thanks to this perfect little tool. I'd been trying with some other more basic glass cutters back in art school and I found them hard to use. The handle is just right and there is a huge reservoir for cutting oil. I do keep it stored in a pencil cup with the tip upright, so that no oil leaks out. I followed the directions on the box to learn how to do it, so safe to say any beginner with some willpower can use this with success.

Much better than the glass cutters I had so far. Very ergonomic, easy to follow the pattern lines- thanks to its shape-, it would be even better if there was something to store it (support or box)

The Gryphon pistol grip style glass cutter fit my hand (and my husband’s hand) very comfortably. I especially like the thumb rest on top, as it gave me extra pressing power when I cut. I was also impressed with how easy cutting in this hand position is. It is a little more expensive, but well worth the price.

This is actually the 3rd time I'm buying it. I bought the first two to help my glass class seniors hold a cutter comfortably. I just used it myself after about a year and decided it's well worth buying another just for me.Update: the cutter I bought for myself fell apart. The cutting head popped off and the spring flew out I could not find it to attempt to re-assemble it.
