I would buy these stands over and over again. For the price, I cannot believe the quality. They are surprisingly sturdy, every piece is quality, and I have a hefty extension arm with my ride cymbal on it dangling off the side and it is nowhere near unbalanced or struggling to do the job. I was shopping this price range extensively and am extremely satisfied going with these cymbal stands. 10/10

I recently purchased the **GRIFFIN Cymbal Stand with Boom Arm Pack of 2**, and I couldn't be happier! These stands are incredibly sturdy and provide excellent stability for my cymbals. The boom arm feature is a game changer, allowing me to position my cymbals exactly where I want them without hassle. The construction quality is impressive—heavy-duty materials that feel built to last. The height adjustments are smooth, making it easy to find the perfect setup for my drum kit. They also have a sleek design that fits well in any setup. For drummers looking for reliable and versatile cymbal stands, I highly recommend this pack. You won’t be disappointed!

Let's get this out of the way up front, these aren't professional, heavy duty stands that compare to something like a DW 9000 Series. But they're also a fraction of the price. What you do get for your money is a solidly built, lightweight convertible boom stand. It has some nice features: double-braced legs, a removable counterweight, and memory locks. If you're realistic about what you're getting for the money you should be very pleased.

I've been drumming for over 30 years and have purchased many thousands of dollars of equipment in my life. I'm not a pro-level drummer but I care about how far my money goes. I bought a 2-pack of this stand to supplement a new, larger cymbal pack I recently bought for my drums.Overall, this is a good stand that puts in a solid, slightly-above-average representation vs. similar products at a similar price point. It's suitable for beginning drummers, or those who don't need a road-worthy, robust stand. This stand, like most in this price range, is best for light use. That means it can't really support larger, heavier cymbals very well, and it shouldn't be used to hold heavy auxiliary items, like extra drums. Avoid overtightening the wing nuts, and be sure that when using the boom that it's positioned over one of the legs for stability. I wouldn't use this stand (or any other light-duty stand) for a gigging drumset, I don't think it would stand up to the abuse. Likewise, any use that will see the stand undergoing constant adjustment, as in a student drumset, should probably be avoided. If, like me, you might disassemble your drums only a few times a year for the occasional yard party or birthday gig, then this stand is probably just fine.Being a convertible straight/boom stand, with the boom dropping down into the main tube, this stand has a limited adjustment angle for the boom. This is common to convertible stands like this; the boom can really only rotate through about 80-90 degrees of arc before the boom contacts the vertical tube. This is neither good nor bad; it's just an aspect of the design. Still, a nice feature in this price range. The counterweight is actually a pretty nice upgrade. It will help with heavier cymbals, or when you have to extend the boom really far. Keep in mind that even though the counterweight will allow you to mount larger, heavier cymbals, the wing nuts may not be up to the task of securing them (light duty means light duty). A basic drum key is included - the counterweight and the memory locks need a drum key for tightening. Using the counterweight will almost certainly scratch the finish on the smooth boom arm, but you won't see those until you remove the counterweight. Also, the counterweight can be used on any other cymbal stand whose boom arm is an appropriate diameter. The cymbal felts are small but serviceable. Washers are included. The tilter head at the end of the boom offers plenty of rotation. I do wish the gears in the tilter were a little smaller, though, just so I could have more adjustment angles available. The only thing that stood out to me about this stand is what it was missing - notably, a cymbal sleeve. And arguably, the most important part of any cymbal stand, too. Cymbals are by far the most expensive pieces of a drumset and there's nothing worse than losing your favorite one to some damage caused by keyholing. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem as I tend to keep around a bunch of extra cymbal sleeves, the flanged kind with a disc on the bottom. But even the shortest of these would not work on this cymbal stand because its mounting post is too short. I was stuck with having to buy some tubing to use instead, and was unable to use the stands for the first 3 days I owned them.Overall, a solid stand among its peers with only the one real drawback, which is easily avoided by purchasing sleeves on your own. (Remember that the typical kind, with the disc on the bottom, won't work for this stand. Get pneumatic tubing (like aquarium hose) with an outer diameter that is slightly smaller than the opening in your cymbal's bell.) I judge this stand to be ideal for any drum set that A) doesn't get moved very often; B) is used by beginners, kids, or students; and C) doesn't require heavy accessories to be mounted on the stand.Deducted one star for not mentioning the lack of a cymbal sleeve in the ad, and another star for selling what is essentially an unusable product without the purchase of third-party items (cymbal sleeves). Had they mentioned the lack of a cymbal sleeve, I still would have bought this product....I just would have gone ahead and purchased the sleeve material at the same time. In that case, this would have been a 4-star product.PROS:*combination boom or straight stand, not usually seen at this price point*counterweight is a nice addition, and rarely seen at this price point*Memory locks are a common feature but not always seen in budget stands like this*slim, grippy rubber feetCONS:*NO CYMBAL SLEEVE: renders the product useless without the buyer's need to make additional purchases

You get what you buy and a little extra when you buy these stands. These stands are super light weight and are sturdier than I thought. They come with counter weights that help redirect the weight of the stick hitting the cymbal but even so I make the legs quite wide as to eliminate any wobble. They aren’t the best stand but they are good stand.
