Stiff and a bit wobbly at the base of the pedal. The size of the pedal suggests this might be better for a younger player - it was a bit small for my foot. I like the beater, though prefer the head be flat and not rounded, as rounded produces a more pronounced dent in the drum head. It feels decent quality but definitely nothing I could or would use, so I'm saving it for a set I'm putting together for my nephew. He won't know or care the pedal is a bit stiff and wobbly...
