This thing is horrible. Bought this for my mother who just had hip surgery!! Very wobbly afraid she is going to fall again! The company will not replace. Do not buy for elderly not safe. Waste of money thank god it wasn't that much! you get what you pay for!! Needs a lot more support.

The purpose of this product to help someone who needs a way to safely lower themselves onto the toilet to have something to hang on to. This product does that. However, it does that while feeling like the rickety bridge that Indiana Jones ran over in The Temple Of Doom.It was easy to assemble. It's mostly spring pins that allow you to adjust the height and a plate that you bolt under the toilet seat to hold it in place. That plate works very well. The spring pins, not so well.It appears that the holes through which the pins go are a little bit bigger than the pins themselves so that there is wiggle room. And the arms do wiggle from side to side. To be sure I don't have any fear that the thing would collapse baring excessive weight (250 lbs limit). But the fact that the arms so easily move is disconcerting to say the least. We did have a loaner that was as solid as a battleship (and weighed about the same) but about three times the cost of this unit. Thinking about it now maybe that would have been a better choice.Given my experience I would not recommend this item but I don't think it's unsafe.

This works well enough and is helpful. The arms are somewhat loose and unsteady. Otherwise satisfactory.

Great Toilet Arms ! I am 40 years old with SEVERE Rheumatoid Arthritis ! I purchased these toilets rails to help lower myself down onto the toilet and then to stand back up again ! They are very easy to install ! Once the main bracket is installed the rails themselves just pop on and off very easily ! They can be adjusted both up and down for height and also be adjusted in and out for width ! I have had multiple ankle, knee and hip surgeries where I couldn't put any weight on my joints or had limited ROM and these rails helped tremendously !I would recommend these rails to anyone that has problems standing from the sitting position and also lowering themselves down from standing to the sitting position !

My husband installed the safety rails and said it was easy to do. It looks like it has a couple of adjustments for width but the height can only be adjusted depending upon the height of the toilet. My toilet is a standard size toilet with a round seat. The rails attach to the toilet (where the seat attaches) so you must remove the toilet seat first, attach the rails and the re-attach the seat on top of it. It's not really shown in the picture but the back rail has a flat piece that extends from the rail (which goes where your seat was attached) which makes it possible to place your seat over it. I am only 5'5" and I have no problem with the height of the handrails. As some have commented, the rails can wobble a bit, but since they are attached to the toilet I find the rails to be sturdy enough to help me get safely on and off the seat which is what it is meant to do.

Product arrived quickly, as expected. It is easy to assemble and install. However, once installed we were somewhat disappointed to find that the frame feels less solid that it is. So, while it serves its purpose well, there is a sense of instability that could readily disconcert some users.

I got this for a person with two broken ankles and needed support for a six week recovery. I found the rails exactly as advertised. I did have trouble removing and replacing the toilet seat bolts, but this was a problem with the bolts, not with the Safety Rails. Once I solved the bolt problem, the rails were easy to install and quite steady. One note of caution: the rails are not meant to provide side-to-side support. They will give way if pushed to either side. They give support only when pressed down to the floor, thus helping a person get up off the seat.

As a person with severe arthritis in hips and knees it has been challenging to rise from a seated position. The home I purchased recently does not have a counter next to the toilet in the master bath and the wall on the opposite side of the room was too far away for grab bars. Enter the VersaFrame. I'm now able to stand after using the toilet without the need to call for assistance.Installation was very easy and would require only that the toilet seat be removed and re-installed (in most cases only a screwdriver would be needed). As I was also installing a new toilet seat, it took only an extra minute to install the VersaFrame. This went onto a ADA height toilet with elongated bowl and fit perfectly. With the built-in adjustments, it could also be installed on a standard-height toilet with round bowl or any combination of the two. In addition to the height adjustment, there are also adjustments for width. However, since the back of the frame is bolted to the top of the toilet bowl, the height adjustments apply only to height necessary for installation, not for the height of the person using it. The arms may be a bit too high for a shorter person, but at 6'3" they were perfect for me.My only concern is that the arms are a bit wobbly side to side, but this may be minimized by using the narrower width option. Additionally, since most of the force will be downward, a side to side wobble would have minimal impact.
