The good: Comparable to magmod but waay cheaper. Comparable, but heavier feel than magmod. It's also more opaque and brighter white than magmod -- which I feel results in slightly better diffusion. The bad: Like other reviewers have mentioned, it may have a slight color cast as a result of thickness/opaqueness — but its slight at most and super easy to setup a profile for automatic post processing — so complete non-issue if you know what you're doing and not really worth mentioning. Its also bulkier compared to magmod. Finally, it doesn't have a magnetic mount. This makes it slower to attach/detach other diffusers or to pack.If you're on a budget trying to decide between this or magmod this works fine for outside photos. If you're looking for a system of diffusers, madmod has a better, but expensive ecosystem. All that said, if you're shooting indoors you can likely get comparable results by just bouncing flash off ceilings/walls. Though, this also casts color (from the room).

I love lighting modifiers. It's so helpful to have the right tool for the specific job. This set really shines when it comes to general fill for a room. I frequently use the "Magsphere" on the Godox AD200 to provide a nice even light for an entire room. But sometimes I need more power and there isn't a great option between the magsphere and a lantern. But this dome works really well for that inbetween area.It comes with three adapapters so you can use it on a variety of lights. I exclusively use it with the bowens mount as I have other adapters for the frenel head and don't use the smaller godox mount. But it is always nice when a modifier is flexible on how it is used. For the price, you can't beat this modifier for a general purpose fill.

The Godox ML-CD15 Dome Diffuser Kit is, as the seller asserts, a lightweight and portable light modifier. More importantly though, it produces a very pleasing light; surprisingly so.I own the Flashpoint version of Godox’s AD200Pro, the Evolv 200Pro, and this kit’s adapter for attaching the diffuser to the rectangular head of that flash fits perfectly. The same adaptor can be used to attach the diffuser to my Godox 860VIII portable camera flash. Given the portability, the ease of use and the quality of light that the Godox Dome diffuser produces, it’s a real value. My only disappointment is that none of the adaptors allow me to use the diffuser with my Godox H200 round head. Darn. The diffuser can be used as main light source in the studio, or as a fill light instead of a reflector. Outdoors, it can be used as a fill light for subjects backlit by the sun, or a main light with the sun as a secondary light source. Or it can be used like a bare bulb is used, as a non-directional light source to light a space. The Godox diffuser will have unlimited uses for whatever type of photography is of interest, indoors and outdoors. And its convenience makes it an accessory that can be in the photographer’s kit at anytime and anywhere. In the quick tests I’ve provided, the subject is close to a wall and there is a white reflector just off-camera to the right, so there is a fair amount of reflected light. The diffuser absorbs an even 2-stops of light, as read by the incident meter seen in the photos; f11 with no diffuser, f5.6 with the diffuser attached. The tests are shot with the diffuser connected to the Flashpoint Evolv 200 using the included rectangular adaptor. The three photos include the bare head (unmarked), with the diffuser extended into its bulb shape (Bulb) and depressed into a concave center (Flattened). The diffuser itself is squishy and malleable to the extent that unless it is pierced, can be stuffed anywhere for storage or transportation without being damaged, even if heavy equipment is laid on it. The included adaptors are light, hard plastic. The diffuser itself is simply stretched and pushed onto or pulled off of a lip around the circumference of the adaptor in use. It's simple, expedient and easy to remove or replace in a jiffy. The Godox ML-CD15 Dome Diffuser Kit is a super portable, super lightweight, super durable, super simple, multipurpose, multi-configurable light modifier that can be used indoors, outdoors or on the go, and will be there when you need it. I’m having fun with it!
