Overall this is not a miracle worker...after all you're getting two of these for only 10$. The diffusion material is on the thin side. The softbox is on the small side, meaning you'll still get hard shadows and larger diffusion domes, like the Godox dome, are leagues better and worth the extra cost.These do slightly diffuse the light and are a decent alternative to the "bounce card"...but that's an outdated tactic IMO for beginning/old school wedding photographers. You still get the hard shadow "flashlight" or "point and shoot" light look with these when you use them as intended, with the black reflective side bouncing light towards the subject.However, when you REVERSE the unit, where you have the black side facing the subject...this is a noticeable improvement from merely bouncing the flash. When you put this backwards, the black side blocks the "flashlight" look on the subject. The rest of the softbox then spreads the light all over the room as opposed to a laser beam aimed at the ceiling. This provides enough bounce light at multiple directions that will fill in the racoon eyes that happen when you bounce raw flash without diffusion. You may need to adjust your TTL to be +1 depending on the distance and size of the room, but...surprisingly...this is a good item if racoon eyes bother you...but you'll need to be in a small room to bounce the backwards facing light. Granted, the best way to avoid racoon eyes is to bounce the flash at a white wall behind you, but sometimes you don't have that, or you'll be so close to the subject that you can't get the rays to reach because you're obstructing the subject being so close...this will help you get rays to the subject for fill light when your closer to the subject and obstructing a bare flash bounce.Now if you're in a larger room that can't bounce light, that's generally when people will whip out the diffusion domes and bounce cards. To avoid the flashlight look and point this forwards, as intended, honestly IMO it's best to avoid using your flash as a key light and think of it as a fill light...expose for the ambient light, then your TTL should power down the flash, or just crank it down to TTL-1 stop...then the softbox will diffuse the light just enough and it'll be faint enough not to look like a deer in headlights.

If these camera bounce flash diffuser covers look the same as in the web page, they will be very helpful. However, actually, these covers cannot be opened up to the shape shown, as there is not any means of tension to stretch them. So, the wrinkles are all over the covers, though it is still somewhat usable. I really do not like its look, as it is far from professional.
