Fits and reflects the light. I think i am getting more bounce from the white than silver, but they are close. Determined based upon taking pictures with flash on reflective surface and seeing how big the flash spot is that shows up.

I've only tested this once. But in my opinion, if you don't have the ability to bounce your flash off of a low ceiling, the silver side of this diffuser was fantastic. Between testing the silver side in the white side, the silver was much better. The white was pretty strong. I'm sure if you manually adjust the strength of your flash the white side will be just as good. I have several other diffusers, but this one for the price is the best one I now own.
