Love the fit of this helmet (I measured my head per instructions prior to purchase). Straps are easily adjusted, and the boa (knob) on the back can be tightened to a comfortably snug fit. HOWEVER… unbuckling the chin strap is nearly impossible. I have to squeeze as hard as my fingers are capable of to undo the buckle, and it takes me multiple tries. Very frustrating! So, buyer beware!! (Therefore 4, not 5, stars.)

It is very light, looks great, and fits as good - if not better - than any other helmet I have worn. Note: I also have a fairly new Giro Agilis which does NOT fit as well as this new Aeries. Also has the best adjustment mechanism of any of my helmets. However, it IS expensive. This is the first time I have paid $300+ bucks for a helmet.

Not sure what the other reviewers are saying about sizing but this helmet seems to be exactly the same size as my Giro Aether helmet. I'm always a medium in bike helmets and this medium fits me perfectly.

Have always been a fan of Giro helmets and this one does not disappoint. Very comfortable, you don't even know it is there. Good ventilation, works well with a cycling cap as well, adjustment/retention system is top notch. The only "niggle" I have is with the strap length and closure. This has been common to all Giro helmets I've had, the strap is about an inch too short. It's ok but I'm right at the limit. I guess the good part is no extra strap end to secure, or trim so it's not flapping around but I couldn't make it any loser if I tried. The other "niggle" is I've had other helmets with a magnetic closure vs. the traditional buckle and I prefer the magnetic closure. I suppose the buckle may be more secure, and cheaper, but still like the one handed convenience of the magnetic closure.

My 10 year old Atmos finally broke so I purchased a size medium Aries. I am really impressed with the fit and comfort. The fit feel is similar to a more encompassing helmet (ski helmet) with more contact area and no pressure points. The weight is 278g (sticker says 280g) vs. 254g for medium Atmos. I consider the slight increase a good trade off for the improved safety. The MIPS / spherical system is very well incorporated in the helmet with no significant increase in profile.

This is for a more round head as opposed to oval. Lots of space on the sides. Even when adjusted
