As I waited for my order to arrive, I read the other reviews with interest. Electronic design was part of my career, so I find myself wishing I could take a look at some of the broken boxes. It sounds like corners were cut, as is the norm for Chinese design and manufacture. The cost difference between doing it right or not would be very small on an item like this, but I think is is a combination of cultural habits and the fact that China is not nearly as wealthy a place as they want us to believe. I'm getting a little nervous about the amount of money I have put innto ordering an XE-Pro with all of the goodies, but I want to thank everyone here for the heads up you have provided. In addition to hand tools when I put all this together, now I will also have a scope and DMM handy. Assumptions about this gear seem to be a really bad idea. I wish I could help out those of you with failures in the electronics. Most of this is probably going to be a simple fix. I will be taking a hard look at the relay and its driver circuit before I put this in service. I am actually consideering using an off the shelf shop relay that senses power draw on the 120v circuit and pulls in the relay to run the vacuum. This would allow me to preserve the spindle lead's potential as a speed control lead. Combined with modifying my Makita to support a spindle speed input seems like it would be a very useful upgrade. Anyway, thanks for the warnings, I will be taking the electronics housings apart and checking them carefully before my machine ever sees power. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I will update this after I get a chance to go through mine. Perhaps I can suggest some mods to prevent difficulties. Hope this was helpful.

Lasted 3 months of heavy use, now it doesnt turn off the spindle anymore and doesnt react to M5 command. Sometimes it does, most of the time it doesnt. Not worth.

Works as it says. Plugged in my Bauer router, and boom it started working like my older Masuter Pro router did from the factory. Thoroughly pleased I don't have to manually start the router again.

Not only do I believe to have received a open boxes item that smells burnt, this relay is extremely cheap. I thought this would be simpler than building one, though having received this it is obvious it's the only thing to do is build one because for 90 tax in, this is pure junk. At 30 bucks I would still be disappointed

Not sure if this is a thing or not, but please check the polarity markings on the PCB inputs. (You can see them on the silkscreen just under the connectors). Looking at the box "+" is on the right side of each connector socket...Thinking it didn't matter (like a normal relay), I originally connected my 24V source with pos on the left. It MAY have blown the optical couplers or MOSFET on my control board ($75). (Not sure why...) After connecting the input terminals "backwards" the first time, the output circuit on my control board is now permanently "activated".I did connect the inputs to a different output on the control board (now in the "correct" polarity) and the box works as expected.I can't be absolutely sure if the reversed input polarity was the actual cause of my control board failure, but maybe this note will save someone else from a similar issue.Check the input polarity!

Using this with my CNC and a router and it works like a charm. Its plug and play no need for complicated wiring.

I am using a router in place of the factory spindle on my Masuter Pro CNC machine. I didn't mind turning the router on and off by hand but without something like this if you have to hit the emergency stop button the router keeps going. So far this solution has worked perfectly for me. The price point is reasonable too.The plastic housing seems a little cheaply made but for my purposes as long as it works I really don't mind.

Spontaneously turns itself off. This leads to very expensive repairs. It worked fine for the first few weeks, but after that it spontaneously shut down and the spindle (800watt) stopped. Of course, this caused breakages and ruined an expensive workpiece. It worked fine for another week. But again it spontaneously shut down. And again it happened again. And then again after that. The quality is total crap. That put a permanent end to FoxAlien. The CL 6065 CNC machine we use is terrible. We bought it from the factory. It's a total disappointment.

If you plan to use the 65mm router adapter with a palm router on your Masuter Pro, this auto switch is key in powering on/off your AC powered router. Simple to use and just connects to your existing power port on the control box. It also has an extra AC outlet to also power on/off a vacuum. There’s no extra programming to use this, just plug ‘n play, and it works really well. I’d recommend it!

This relay works incorrectly. Constantly turning devices off in the middle of cuts, breaking tools and running work pieces. Customer support wants me, as the consumer, to open device to check to make sure they wired it correctly. When I refuse, they say I must be at fault. Absolutely ridiculous.
