This is installed on my blasting cabinet where I have a dust collection setup hooked up. But I don't use my blasting cabinet daily, so I was hoping to make a customized egress from the blasting cabinet and have it hooked up to my dust collection system. Luckily I already have a 4 inch dust collection setup in my garage. All I need to do is open up a 4" hole and install this flange. Then when I need to do some blasting work, I just roll the cabinet over to the dust collector hose and hook it up. If you're looking at this item to piece together your system, be aware that this is only a flange inlet with a steel base hidden under the plastic landing cover. You'll need to make sure your collector hose coupler has the magnets installed, and mine does, with an upgraded rare earth strong magnet set. Strong magnets are necessary because the dust hose is quite heavy and will fall off easily if you don't use a properly countered magnet to hold it in place.All in all, this is a much better solution than the friction-held coupling because the magnetic coupler makes it easy to attach and detach. Also mind the residual dust at the port end when decoupling it. Stuff will just fall out easily and it'll make a dusty mess. Good flange, works well if you want a seamless but easy-to-use 4" dust collection coupler.

I have their other connectors on my unisaw, dust collector and planer, the magnetic connectors make moving the DC hose around effortless. Once you have these you'll never go back to unclamping stuff. the rare earth magnets in the collars clamp very well. This port of course is a receiver so no magnets just the magnetic ring those attach to. Going to put this on the bottom or side of a new router enclosure. It's well made and the plastic is very strong like their other magnetic ports and holds securely.

Item works well but the magnets need to be stronger, I have issues with them coming disconnecting easily.
