I have never used Forstner bits before and figured I'd give this one a try. This bit seems to be very good quality for the price. It is sharp and seems evenly cut. I haven't had a chance to use it yet or test it out, but I imagine it will work for my needs in the future. For the $7 price tag I'd say it's worth the price even if you're only going to use it a few times.

I got this bit to add to my stock, so I will need it one day and have it. I went ahead and tested it to make sure it did the job it was intended for. I put it to a really decent test and drilled through plywood. particleboard and oak hardwood. It performed immaculately and I was very pleased with the performance of the tool. Every hole was nice and clean. It did not brittle off chips. I will say that, I did use duck tape on the board prior to making the hole. Duct tape is very helpful in keeping cheaper wood from splintering. I am very pleased with its performance and as long as they continue to make quality bits, I will spend quality money for it. I give it a full on YEA!!!
