Universal Compatible for HDMI Devices to VGA Monitor
Please note the following tips:
- NOT compatible for HDMI devices with low voltage (Low voltage HDMI source does not provide enough power for the chipset, which will cause the line not to work), such as Macbook Pro with Retina display, Mac mini, mac TV, PS4.
- Not bidirectional. Unidirectional HDMI to VGA cable only supports hdmi to vga transmission direction, does not support transferring signals from VGA to HDMI.
- No audio output from VGA.

It didn't work. Why? Because I tried to connect old technology (an ancient monitor) to current technology (an HDMI cable). The old technology is simply not compatible with the current technology. I had the conversion connector but the old technology didn't supply the power needed. Do your homework before you buy. The crossover tech probably won't work if it is 10 years apart.

Thought all cords were omni directional HDMI to vga didn't work. Amazon came through for me as no store carried vga to hdmi
