This method of crushing ice is simple, effective, fun (cathartic), and because it's not mechanical and the parts are extremely sturdy, likely to last forever. Lots of positives, no negatives...it's a keeper.

The Lewis bag and mallet are great, it's quick and easy to get crushed ice whenever we want, I would recommend this product with the advise of know where your finger are at all times, you don't wany to hit something squishy with the mallet.

The mallet and the bag are both well-made. I was concerned that the mallet might be light and flimsy, but it’s heavy and feels good in the hand. The bag is sturdy and doesn’t seem to get wet.It’s a fun way to crush ice, and cathartic too.

Assuming you have a solid countertop to use this on, it makes very nice crushed ice. You need to feel the bag for lurking uncrushed ice cubes if you need thoroughly pulverized ice.I think it would be very helpful to have a hanging loop on the bottom of the bag so it can be hung upside down to dry. There is always some amount of ice stuck inside that needs to melt out and dry.
