Other reviewers must’ve received a different product. The one we! received (3/2023) has metal blades. Not plastic “teeth”as some people wrote and it’s not difficult to operate either. My three year old daughter uses it just fine. Our family loves the fact that the ice comes out EXACTLY like Chick-fill-A ice crumbs. These are cost effective too. Go ahead: do a search for ice machines which produce ice crumbs. The cost will go up north of 4 to 5 hundred dollars. See, we already own a regular counter-top ice maker. But you can use ice from the freezer. It will fit. So, we run the ice from that through this thing. Aaaand…..Bingo Bango; “Childs play.”

At first this unit seemed to work fine. After several hoppers full of ice I started to see brown discoloration in the ice that looked like some type of lubrication. I went so far as to run it in the dishwasher hoping this would clear the problem. It didn't help and the thing has gotten continually worse. I can't get one batch of ice thru it without the ice looking like it has been covered with grease. The units blades and arbor look like they are continuously being coated with grease. As far as I am concerned at this time, I would have to say this is a piece of junk and not worth wasting your time with.

Doesn't work well - handle is difficult to crank and the ice cubes, even 2-3 jam up the handle - The top falls off when trying to crush the ice. Sorry - returning it.

Not quite what I was expecting. Yes, I knew it was plastic, and cheap. But it does not stay steady while trying to crush the ice, and trying to crush the ice is hard. Took me about 5 minutes to crush about 20 or so ice cubes. Almost not worth the effort. This item is probably destined for the cabinet or next garage sale.

This ice crusher is inexpensive, and rightly so. It is not easy at all to crank. It is hard to hold down while cranking.It does crush the ice but with effort and doesn't work very fast. I am doubtful that the crank handle is going to last long, it doesn't seem very stable and I think it would bend without much effort. I think I should have applied the money I spent on this towards buying an electric model. I wouldn't really recommend anyone buying it unless you are looking for an inexpensive way to crush ice with inconvenience and effort involved.

Excellent item. Size is ideal for time to time uses. I'm completely satisfied. I recommend to anyone who wants ice crusher for small task. Ideal.There something I would like to know: it's possible to replace rubber stands?, one of then it get lost.
