This Salad maker is Awesome!!!! I bought it for my mother in law for Christmas and she is using it everyday. Cuts the veggies very nice and precise. We even tried cutting other veggies that don’t normally go in salads. It works great with all kinds of veggies and is making us more adventurous!

Received the item today, looked fine. Plugged it in, sliced an apple (louder than an electric drill and a blender combined), which was fine, but machine started releasing fumes (with burnt plastic smell). I disconnected it, gave it a couple of hours and tried again, and it doesn't work anymore. Unable to return the item as I shipped it internationally through a 3rd party delivery service (and shipping back and forth would cost me more than the item itself now), and Presto doesn't do international shipping themselves. So decided to open it up to see if there was anything I could do. Unfortunately, the image shows the rest.The item has glue all over inside with an extremely messy setup, so no wonder it started fuming. Seems like a cheap quality product, the high rating deceived me I guess.Well, I guess I wasted about 75 bucks on slicing an apple and cant do much with the item anymore.

the blades need to be adjustable, so the consumer can adjust the thickness of the product to the desired thickness
