I’ve owned many types of speakers over the years and I would be hard pressed to say any of them gave as good of a tone as this speaker has! The Texas Heat speaker from Eminence is a very versatile speaker for solid state amps and shines as a Country music type or rock and roll. I own several new ones and a couple used ones and all of them sound incredible. The break in time varies from speaker to speaker but I want to assure any one that buys these will hear the quality from day one! Like I said, I’ve bought and used many, many types and brands, but this is a very well thought out design and the result is not just a well made speaker. The sound is perfect for Country and Rock. Online reviews don’t do this company “brand” justice. I’m hooked and I have never been “brand” loyal.

For the price, it performs decently. I used it for a replacement speaker on an older Peavy 50 gutair amp.

I almost sent this back but I am definitely glad I didn't. It wouldn't fit the amp I was going to install it in, so now I'll just get some bitch plywood and maybe some select pine and make a nice cab for it and probably be using it on the Boss katana and some line 6 amps as this speaker for lack of better wording makes everything sound huge, and with that being said is also a huge improvement over stock speakers in many of my amplifiers. The sound is punchy, thick, and articulate without shrillness but still definition for day's. Wanna warm up an over trebly solid state or modeling amp then this is your speaker, I hear good about the swamp thang by eminence as well, and have had a few eminence legends which are great as well.. cheers..

This speaker is in a 112 cabinet for a 1968 bassman head at 50 watts 4 ohm. Keeps the twang and has a solid bottom end too. Great clean tone, decent overdrive tone too. As tone is subjective I’d say it is worth trying in your fender rig.

I replaced my peavey scorpion 12s 4ohm , with these texasheat4 12s 4ohm . I actually have 2 amps like twins, one has the scorpions the other texasheats. They actually sound very similar, but I think the heats have a hair more bottom end. I love these speakers, and highly recommend them for their brilliant tone!

Replaced the blown out stock speaker in my Line 6 Spider V 120 watt combo amp with this speaker and ohhhh myyy. Its 1000% better that it was before. Crisp cleans, and the distortion is incredible. Getting tube amp sounds out of a $400 solid state digital proccessing amp is incredible, and all it took was a speaker change.

When I first hooked it up I was like, "I don't know about this one". But once I broke it the speaker in it softened some of the notes and brought a bounce and pop to the attack that wasn't there before. It just sounds better than what I thought it would and keeps getting better the longer I break the speaker in.

My amp tech told me that I need to match my 67 Bassman's 4 ohm output with a 4 ohm speaker because I'm only using one 12" now instead of the two 8 ohm speakers normally in the Bassman's cabinet. The new speaker sounds similar to the old one except with more frequency range on highs and lows. Not quite as smooth as my 35 year old square magnet Eminence speaker, but like most new speakers it should smooth out more as it breaks in with time. I'm still an Eminence fan when it comes to guitar speakers. I prefer over the Celestions I've tried. Delivered promptly and in good shape.
