Stuck this in a secondhand 1x12 cabinet and using it for my Quilter Reverb 101. Great smoky Fender-ish tone and good dynamics.

Used this Eminence Red, White, and Blues 12” 120 watt 8 ohm speaker to upgrade from the stock Jensen C-12n in a lacquered tweed Blues Jr. Now that little amp sounds much more articulate and has some really nice tight lows with crystalline highs and well defined mids. It may lack some of the “chimey-ness” of the Jensen or a Celestion Green Back but it makes up for it in spades across the rest of the frequency spectrum. Overall, very impressed with this product for its price.

These are great speakers which I use in some of my gear. I ordered 2 more and both arrived separately with 8ohm tags but the speaker in the manufacturer boxes were 16ohm. Possibly mislabeled at the Eminence factory.

Love this speaker. Perfect match for my Carr Slant 6V. Replaced the original Kingpin speaker (which I believe is made by Eminence for Steve Carr) when it died. These are standard now in many Carr models (I also believe) and for good reason! Love the way it tames spiky highs and delivers a nuanced, mellow tone with subtle overtones. It will rock and bite when you need it without harshness which I love. I have paired it with a Cannabis Rex in an extension cabinet and it is a match made in heaven for me. Neither required any long break in period to sound wonderful. Tone is subjective as we all know, but for a great all around rock and blues (even jazz) sound I don't think you can go wrong. I USED to be a Celestion guy, but I think I am 100% sold on Eminence!

Cuts high end a lot. No sustain. Seems lifeless to me. Maybe better with lots of power going through it.

The Sheffield Speaker in a Peavey Bandit 112 had blown and needed to find a replacement.. Had no luck finding a Sheffield, but found this one and glade I did! After asking the Amazon community about the Eminence and noting the reviews, I decided to purchase this Speaker.. I have Two Bandit Amps the same Type. I can't really tell much difference in running both amps in a side by side comparison one with the Sheffield and one with the Eminence, but can say the Eminence sounds great and will handle more power then the Sheffield! The main thing I noticed looking at the Eminence speaker is how well it is made and quality of Materials etc.. Great AMERICAN MADE product! You will not be sorry!!

This speaker is an absolute fire-breather. I put one in my Roland Cube 60 (which required some modification to the baffle board) and it sounds amazing. This speaker is LOUD, but not harsh. It does a good job of cutting through a crowded mix. I knew that getting rid of the stock speaker and putting one of these in would make a difference because I put one of these in a different amp a few years back, but it shocked me how big the difference actually was. The amp sounded pretty good and was fairly loud before, but now it has really come alive. Since I put this speaker in I find myself running the EQ almost flat, keeping the gain at abut 25%, and using no effects except a touch of reverb. In other words, this speaker has brought out the beauty in the pretty much unadorned sound of my guitar.

I've had no problems with the speaker. It fit my Blues Jr. correctly. The sound is better than what I had.
