If you buy an amp under $300, no matter what brand and what gizmos (features) it has they will always skimp on the speakers. Speakers are the most expensive part. Normally the companies will install cheap nameless Chinese speakers featuring a light magnet (ceramic) and shoddy workmanship. Jenson Mods are inexpensive and leagues better than the standard speakers in most amp models under $300 bucks. Try it, you won't believe the improvement.

The speaker sounds great. Big sound from such a small speaker. Highly Recommended

Sounds much better than the crappy speaker in my Danelectro Dirty 30.

Needed an old time speaker to refurbish an old magnavox record player console. Worked perfectly to replace the original golden voice speakers.

I used this speaker as a replacement for my Vox da5 solid state practice amp. This speaker completely warmed up the tone and sounds great.I always believe in changing speakers before you give up on an amp and this rang true in this instance. I highly recommend this speaker for any amp needing a warmer yet more bottom end from a small amp. This is a tremendous value.

I had a Nano Legacy Mojo Diamond palm size amp and was running it tru a good quality 12" speaker and it sounded good. But that 12" cab was bulky, and I wanted something more desktop platform friendly. So, I got a garbage, beginner-pack type amp (about 8" X 9"), ripped the guts out, made a baffle, and installed this speaker. And it sounded almost as good as the 12"-er. Not as beefy or course, but tone-wise was fine. Very happy with this speaker and the whole rig.

I bought the Mod to replace the stock speaker in my Vox DA5, which was bass deficient. I had previously tried a 4 ohm Eminence, which had improved bass compared to the stock speaker, but which produced a low midrange which was rather too plummy for my taste. Also, the original Vox speaker was rated at 8 ohms, and I kept hearing artifacts which suggested that the power amp in the Vox was not happy with the 4 ohm load presented by the Eminence. The Mod is a direct replacement, and switching the drivers out was very easy. The Mod gives me the bass which I sought, along with an overall balanced sound and smooth top end, all of which are important for the sort of solo fingerstyle guitar which I play. As a bonus, I can produce twangy, Duane Eddy style melody notes on the fat strings. Totally worth the price of admission.

I own 2 vox mini 5’s. I put an Eminence 620h in one and a Jensen mod 6 15 in the other. No question the Eminence is warmer sounding and more articulate. Eminence gets my vote. The Jensen is better than stock and a nice speaker, but not as nice as the Eminence.
