Nice this is perky and thumpy and says it’s rated for 300w “program.” I installed it in my Fender Rumble 100, which is ported, and as a cabinet it reminds a bit of the Aguilar 12 I used to own. It’s very lightweight but kicks out a ton of low end…I heard low B just fine on a 5 string.The hard part about upgrading the Rumble 100 is its stock speaker is 12.5” and so I had to rotate 1/16 turn and put it new screws. No big deal. While I was in there, I put some acoustic foam in to soak up any comb filtering inside the ported case, and I added a dual jack plate that is normalled from amp to speaker. This lets me use the Rumble 100 amp with another speaker, or far better, use it as a 12” cabinet for another amp. It’s normalled, not half-normalled, because the Rumble 100 power section only supports 8 ohm. So either internal or external speaker with that amp, not both, but with my more powerful amps this is great now to mix in as an extra cabinet.12” gets not enough love as a speaker size for bass, but I think it’s just about in the sweet spot. And this is a great driver at that size.

The speaker sounds great, better than the original that came with Roland amplifier. Very light and produces better tone. Not ringy in the high frequencies.

This sounded ok but you lose quite a bit of bottom end with the lighter magnet. I guess it comes down to whether you want to lug a heavier unit. I really wanted this to work too bad.

They are fantastic, great sound, light weight, I want to switch all my drivers to neodymiums. Tighter response than the previous ones I had which were the regular magnets.

The S2012 replaced the original thirty year+ speaker in a Roland Cube 60 watt, bass amp. Sounds really good: defined, solid bottom! At first it rattled when played at max volume, but after tightening the mounting screws further, it is now A-OK. The lighter weight S2012 (neodymium magnet) helps some in the overall weight of the amp, but not dramatically.

First, let me put some things in perspective.I bought this Eminence Basslites 12 inch to replace a blown speaker in my GK MBS-III.I also own a GK 4x10 cabinet, a GK 1x15 cabinet for the low end. I also own a Fender Rumble 100 with a 15 inch speaker.The instrument - Fender Custom Jazz Bass 5 string.So, with that said, the GK MBS -III is a special niche amplifier for practice or very small venues. I know the sound I am looking for and I am qualified to compare sounds coming from the GK MBS-III compared with other bass amplifiers.The Eminence Basslites 12 inch was an exact physical fit for the GK MBS-III cabinet.I am very pleased with the Eminence Basslites' sound quality in the GK MBS-III. The only thing I have lost by replacing the old speaker with this new Eminence Basslites 12 inch speaker is a few pounds ;-) ... The speaker uses a Neodymium magnet which is much lighter.I am very happy with the purchase.

The speaker sounds great and is very lightweight for the punch it packs. Pleased with my purchase so far (using for a 60W Behringer practice amp).
