Disc arrived thick, heavy, and flat. I used a 1/2 inch bolt and appropriate nuts and washers, mounted a diamond wheel, and was easily able to shape some local mineral slabs into passable cabs by spinning the wheel in a drill press. I have no other experience doing this, except to watch a demo of a guy doing the same thing with a 1300 dollar Cab King at a local mineral show. My set up delivered a pleasing result and I am very happy with it. If you want to play at lapidary without a big investment this is a great purchase. If you do, please use a dust mask and eye protection. Silicosis is no joke and grinding makes a lot more dust than you can see.

This disc works as it should. I use it instead of costly acrylic disks on a flat lap with polishing discs on top.

Bought this for my slant lap. I The half inch arbor hole was about to a Kent hair too small. Very Easily took care of the problem with a step drill bit.

This is what it is. An aluminum disk that will be used as a sanding wheel on a grinder with some stick on 6” sandpaper I ordered with it.

Purchased others from some crook before buying these, only to find that they hollowed out one of the sides, without actually stating that in the description, and for only $1 less than these.Glad I found these instead, decent price, well machined, and, most importantly, SOLID aluminum. I will say, they are a bit undersized, though. Can’t remember by how much, but somewhere around 6mm too small, in my case. Oh well, they still work as intended
