Applicable materials

  1. Recommended for drilling all tiles, marble, artificial stone and granite.
  2. Not recommended for hard concrete, especially reinforced concrete. Use to drill holes in excessively hard materials will result in rapid diamond removal and a shortened service life.

Step 1

1. Fix it on the angle grinder tightly with a wrench. Turn on the grinder, let the bits rotating in the air to check if there is a balance problem.

Step 3

3. When you feel the drill bit has cut into the material( one edge of the hole is about to form), slowly stand the drill bit upwards to 90°.

Step 4

4. Keep drilling vertically until the hole has been completely formed. Can shake slightly to help remove chips and dissipate heat. Don’t greatly sway.

For hand drill or light hammer drill

Need additional adapters

  • If you install it on a hand drill or other machines, you need an adapter, such as SDS-Plus, Hex or Round plus shank adapters.
  • If you are using this core drill bit on a hand drill, make sure the speed is higher than 2000 RPM. Typical hand drills are 2000-5000 RPM. Within this range, the faster the drill speed, the longer it will last. So we don't recommend for a cordless drill. The lithium drill has a lower RPM, about 1000 RPM.
  • Do not use impact or hammer mode.

Used this to drill a hole in ceramic sink and worked flawlessly just using a standard drill. Not sure how long the life is but so far so good.

Worked beautifully, kept it fairly wet and it cut a beautiful hole. Didn't catch or crack the tile, started the hole smoothly without issue. Will probably buy more of these as needed

Cuts quickly with gentle pressure. DO NOT USE ON REINFORCED CONCRETE. I bought it before the reinforced concrete question was answered. The cutting edge is only 1/16 of an inch thick. The diamond side coating is 5/8 inch deep but does NOT represent the cutting edge. I cut 2 holes in concrete (no rebar) and the bit was worn out at 7 inches of total cutting. For reinforced concrete, buy one with deep-cutting teeth with large gaps in between them.

Used this hole saw with a grinder to cut holes in shower wall tile. It really made the job easy. Just remember to remove the plug from the bit before cutting a second hole!:-)

I purchased this to cut holes in porcelain tiles for recessed shower sprays. Keep bit cool with water occasionally and don't put a lot of pressure on it, it cut perfect holes every time. I will be using these from now on in place of a Dimond blade on a grinder.
