Hello Drummers. I needed these screws for my Dad's drum kit which is a 1964 set of Gretsch drums. It was missing some hardware. The floor Tom Legs need 8 mm thumb screws to hold the 3 legs in place. Here is the issue: The Screws that were needed were 8 mm thick with "thin" threads on the screw. The threads need to be 1 mm separation. HOWEVER, these screws are NOT 1 mm separation!! They are 1.25 mm threads. The threads are too wide (too far apart). I found out by taking my screws to ACE Hardware and the guy showed me what I needed. I should have gone to ACE Hardware BEFORE ordering these. Now I need to send them back. They are very pretty and the chrome is nice but they thread sizes are different. Be careful or you might make the same mistake I did.
