Fits both driver and passenger sides. This is the motor, which a plastic gear fits onto. Chances are, if you have blend door issues, the plastic gear is also broken. They are cheap. I bought the gears, and the motor together.Other items that come in handy:1. Mini ratchet with a potential T20 bit for Jeep Grand Cherokee 20112. Patience3. Research your particular car, watch some videos on how it's done before tearing into it, tends to save some time. The driver's side is fairly difficult to get to and involves removing various kick plates and splitting the dash around the steering wheel, as well as removing some of the plastic duct work. The passenger side only involves taking the glove box out, which after completing the job a couple times, becomes a 30 minute job. Finally, the sprocket on these motors do not turn without full disassembly or power. On the OEM motor, you can place the gear anywhere on the sprocket, but the aftermarket ones have a distinct notch, and they only go in one way. It is important then to a.) not plug the motor into any type of power until you have it assembled as it will immediately start turning and trying to calibrate (battery disconnect is recommended), and b.) ensure the middle notch lines up with the middle notch on the gear this is going into. If it isn't lined up it will still work, however, you might find that on extremely hot days or cold days, your cooling/heating is not working as well as it once did.If you line it up, bolt it down, and turn the key on, it will "hunt" for the proper positions and might click hard once or twice.

Bought this as part of the solution to climate control issue on Dodge Durango/ Jeep GC. There is a crumby seal on the blending door box of these vehicles. It degrades and turns into a tar-like viscous fluid. It gets all over the box where incoming hot and cold air are blended by a swinging door . I causes the door to get stuck and the gear on this motor to break. So as part of this fix you need at least get a new gear, and then to get into the box with a dental hook, to pull out as much of the gooey gasket as possible. You can access the upper (hot side) by removing the floor duct. To access the bottom (Cold side) you can cut a window into the side of the box (there is a Youtube video about this. I used a Dremel. Be careful to not cut the swinging doorThis motor came set up to align the gears easily. I was happy to see that.

Fit right in and easy to install once I figured out I needed to make a special tool (stubby wrench). Also installed the gear that was broken. That was the real problem with my blend door but figured while I was in there I'd change the motor too. Didn't want to do this again. Had it in a month now and works great.

I had the dreaded grinding noise from my dashboard and no ability to adjust the heat. Turns out, it was this actuator that needed to be replaced. It only took about 30 minutes to replace. 2 months in, so far so good.4/14/23: Stopped working this morning In the middle of a snow storm in Colorado. Lasted 5 months from install.

Pros: decent price, quick delivery, like for like replacement, easy installation!Cons: quality is not that great! I put the gear(blend door gear) on it. I tried to take it off so I can align it with the other circuitry, but it just didn't come off at first, and then the white part(the one that spins) just came off along with the gear. I was able to put it back in, but really it should not come off like that.

Works. Dealer charges $285. PIA to change in 2012 Grand Cherokee. I got the slim wrench also. Had to cut the bit down by 2/3 before it fit the upper screw.
