I have a door that gets a little bit stuck and I was thinking that I might have to sand down the edge a little bit to fix it. Then I saw this tool and watched the videos and it looked so easy that I thought I'd give it a try. It just didn't work for me. When I use it, I can hear the wood start to crack as if the hinge plate was lifting the screws out of the door frame which would cause even more damage. I can see this working on a commercial building where the door frames are made of metal. But it just doesn't work for my needs in my home.

This thing is great! I used to fix my hinges with crescent wrenches but this works so much better! I have a few where the molding is too close and this won’t fit in the gap, but for everything else, this is great. Easy to use. Heavy duty- can easily bend the hinge to adjust it with minimal effort. Just don’t drop this on your toe.

This thing is solid. It works really well, with little effort. Not much to say about it.I will note that, it is so effortless, you may want to ease into your first projects until you get the feel for it. It has tons of leverage, so it seems like it could be very easy to over do something.Recommended. (I have the red one.)

This is a really heavy duty tool. It is made well. I am a 64 year-old woman and I just fixed the hinge on a bathroom door and I am proud of myself. However, when I first used this tool, the pressure seemed to pull the screws away from the frame while the door was still misaligned and I was thinking it didn’t work and I was worried I made things much worse. I then changed the screws to longer length screws and between changing the screws and using the door hinge tool for that extra "tweak", my door now opens and closes like a dream! I am sure there are some handy people who are laughing at me because I don’t quite know how to use such a wonderful tool, but in the end it worked and I’m very happy! Worth every penny and certainly much cheaper than hiring someone to come fix my door! My door had been misaligned for a number of years...now it is opening and closing perfectly!
