It is slightly too small for the opening on the Delta shower valve. Even 4 wraps of teflon tape wouldn't sea; the threads.

Who'd have thought it! It seems like a simple enough part. I bought it and had problems all of the time that it was installed. I bought a Delta official part and compared the two. The Delta part has some retaining features within the threads that are missing on this part. As a result this part would not stay properly adjusted in position. Perhaps if I hadn't cleaned out the mating threads and lubricated them with sealant then this part might have stuck where it needed to be. This is the 2nd type of Danco part with which I've had problems because of design issues.

Did not work very well. Product fits loose, does not tighten enough and does not stay tight.
