Completely dumb design. It's just impossible to get this out of the sink when it's clogged and there is water above.

Have only been using for a few days. There is a short post on one side which allows the product to sit down into the drain hole and stop the water in the sink. That side traps more debris but also traps the water. ive turned it over and think that is side that I will use up. It is the convex side that i hope will catch the debris also as it allows the water to flow thru. not too sure i like this product.

I’ve had this one for over a year now and it’s perfect! In the past, I’ve spent a lot more on others that ended up molding and becoming a gross mess even though I kept them clean. The others are silver and black - you know the ones I’m talking about - and definitely not worth the money. This one is simple, black and made of hard plastic that is easy to clean and catches small bits so they don’t go down the drain, but still lets the water through. Why spend more when you can get the perfect one for so much less!!!

I have used many different sink drains covers for my kitchen sink over the years. Most of them fail. Food continues to make its way under the covers. Prior to this item, I used one of the silicone products, sold on Amazon. I loved it. It was set inside of the drain opening (recessed). It did a great job of catching food debris and utensils so they didn't fall into the disposal. The problem was they stained terribly. No matter what I did to remove the stains, they were there for ever. This one is perfect! I definitely recommend it. I would buy it again. As a matter of fact, I plan to buy a few extras to pass along to family members. It's hard plastic and it's black. Super easy to clean/scub! No stains.

I bought this for my dad he has a septic tank so he is always worried about food going down the drain which can potentially cause problems. All of the ones he has tried don’t let the water drain completely.. He has stainless steel sinks so it makes a ring around the sink hole. With this one it fits nicely down into the drain hole so the water doesn’t pool up around the drain. I clean his house once a week for him (so in a way it was for me too) and this has made me happy as well as him. I’m thinking about buying me one for my sink so my silverware doesn’t go down into my garbage disposal. Definitely worth the money.

A simple solution is often the best. I've used this style kitchen sink drain strainer for several years and it handles the need to catch food particles and other debris better than any others. The graduated holes catch everything that needs to be stopped from going down the drain and clogging the plumbing. It fits just right into a standard drain opening. The heavy plastic material doesn't warp or discolor and can be washed and or sanitized. The center post makes it easy to lift out of the drain opening and debris can easily be cleaned by just tipping it upside down and tapping in into your hand, on the inner side of your trash receptacle, or - I sometimes tap it on my counter next to the sink wiping everything up with a paper towel. It's simple, durable, and works great.

I like the ease of use, the low profile and the efficiency of this. It is more attractive than the white garbage disposal strainer I used to buy.
