I see a few negative reviews for this but, my experience is good. Product works exactly as it it should and I expect years of service. It's a shame we're reliant on China for so many things but, that's why the price point is so low.

The very first time using this the regulator broke! I was able to do a leak down test on only 1 cylinder before the plastic regulator broke apart. Do not buy, tried to get a warranty/refund, the are charging a re-stocking fee on their poor quality item. Buyer beware!!!

Leaks at the hose fitting like it was not clamped tight enough. Of no use like this, I would not buy again.

Easy to use and understand, be sure to get top dead center on compression stroke and block the fly wheel from turning over. Listen for the air escaping. Live the universal fittings, all types of vehicles and engines. Great carrying case to keep all parts sorted and stored. As described.

Using a leakdown tester properly is not intuitive. Keep the instructions to remember how to zero this gauge out. It is not obvious!This gauge set works fine, but you might need to buy a few other stepdown regulators and air chuck fittings to really get the most of of it.This inexpensive tool has allowed me to diagnose head problems, piston ring problems, and assess the health of used motors before deciding to rebuild them, saving me a lot of time and money.

You need to be able to go to 80-100 PSI so that you can track the leakage by sound and feel. The way this gage is calibrated you can only go to about 30 PSI. The solution is put a standard gage on the right side and calculated the percentage based on PSI difference. I had a gage on hand, so it didn't cost anything.

Works OK. the fittings are made properly, but the regulator won't go to 120 PSI can only apply 60psi. I usually see compression at 120 psi. It will work fine at 60 psi and you can turn the crank into position easier. so maybe it is designed this way for that reason. It is not as loud listening for ring leak.

was a little skeptical about buying this product due to all the negative reviews. When I received it, I checked to see if the hose would spin inside of its crimped end and it did not. There were many reviews that indicated that their hose would get stuck in the spark plug hole and the one I got did not when tightening it hand tight. I checked my leak down and it seems to be accurate at 4% with 2800 miles on my RZR 1000 XP turbo. I also got it because it had an 14 to 10mm adapter so I could use my snap on pressure gauge. This product worked great for me. Although I figured it was worth a chance since amazon is good about ensuring customer satisfaction.

I followed instructions. First I set the guage to 0. As noted in instructions, it took about 30 PSI to do this. I noticed that my units quick connect adapter that connects into the hose which screws into spark plug hole was leaking air (without the hose connected, it should be air tight). I believe my unit was impossible to calibrate for this reason. Tried multiple times. Returned unit as defective, and will buy a better quality item.
