The gloves are good quality for the price and are durable. Only negative is that the gloves are quite stiff out of the package. At first, when I made a fist in the gloves my middle knuckle got sore from the constant pressure of the foam. After a week the gloves are better. Breaking in the foam by folding the glove a bit would've helped. I guess initial stiffness is the tradeoff for durability.

It's good. But they have another one that's much better than this one.

I've used these gloves for years. At first, I bought them because at the time (2006) this was the best glove around and most of my training partners had it. It was the gold standard for MMA gloves. My first pair was great and I never had an issue with them. I bought a new pair after a few years off from training and I have to say, I'm not in love with them. The old gloves, we're work horses and withstood all types of training. This new pair for some reason does not hold up well to hard striking, specifically heavy bags, pads and dummies. Not sure what it is, I've worked on my form with them and I still torque my wrists in weird ways that I don't even do without wraps or gloves. The one thing they are good for is sparring. They have a great padding that doesn't beat up your partner much and they're good for use in submissions and wrestling.Pros:Looks greatQuality materialGreat padding for sparringCons:Bad construction for heavy strikes

I have used the gloves daily for a couple weeks. They are holding up perfectly so far. They have plenty of padding and gives you use of your hands for grappling.

As described. On time. Good call on ordering the XL, guys. I can palm a basketball, but I don't have what I'd call large hands. Without wraps, they're a little roomy. Not enough to even think about really. With wraps, they're perfect. The stiffness people commented about seems a little overstated. 9/10.

Bought these for my fiancee who has recently gotten into Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (the real stuff, not the watered down sport BJJ). Since we occasionally practice both defensive and offensive striking on the ground, she needed a high quality pair of well padded sparring gloves. These fit her well and offer both safety and ability to still grip her training partner as needed. The white color cost me about $8.00 more than the black ones, but she's a girl so she thought it was worth it.

Top notch design on these gloves. Genuine leather and perforation under hand. Stitching is solid too. I really like the fit and feel too. Be advised my hands are small and the regulars fit perfectly (I'm 5'4" 155lbs). I've been fighting for a long time and I do know what quality fight gear looks like; these fit the bill. Combat Sports has always been one of my fav fight gear companies too. They don't skimp in quality and they seem to stay away from gimmicky marketing stuff. I also bought the cheaper (no -leather) version too for my wife. They were also good quality and look like they'll last awhile, but still no comparison to these leather ones.

I'm 5'8, 130lb, about 3 1/2" width of my fist, 7 3/4" circumference of my knuckles, and 6 1/2" circumference of my wrist and these gloves in size REGULAR, even though there's room to accommodate hands larger than mine, they fit great on me! My friends with similar sized hands but are a bit heavier and thicker than me (~140-150lb) say that these fit perfect on their hands. I also like the breathable finger loops and the softness of the padding (break-in required to make them even more soft). Excellent top quality gloves - HIGHLY recommended!

These gloves are perfect if you're starting out in mma. You can use them on the bags, mitts--they're excellent for sparring! Lots of soft padding and doesn't hurt all that much to get hit, considering you're not throwing heavy punches. Plus you can grapple with them, too. I do recommend before you use them for sparring, break them in first, as they're a bit stiff. After a while, they'll form better to your hands. I'm still breaking mine in, actually. Also, I'd recommend you wear some sort of handwraps whenever you use these gloves (or any gloves). Not only do they better protect your hands, but they also help absorb the sweat from getting into the gloves and making them stink like an old sweaty hat.
