*Update: *Acrylic latex paint seems to be recommended for this material & works well. It arrives with a finished white glossy appearance and good to go straight out of the box. Paint is only needed if you want to color match or prefer non-white moulding.*Concerning the price locally -wood , polystyrene, and other types of crown moulding of similar size and profiles are a better value both as singles and in bulk packs at various well known big box DIY stores. This may vary by location.*Previous for quality & features Nice Lightweight crown molding. Very straight, shiny and uniform. Looks nice and is easy to dust , wipes right off without cling. Accepts Brad nails with out cracking and can be put up with adhesives and brace poles as well. Definitely an upgrade to the wall ceiling interface! Using this in my container home. Really creates a finished look. It like this product. I wish it came it colors though - white isn't my favorite thing but it's traditional I suppose. I don't even know what color I would want, lol. I will try some different finishes on the scrap cuts before I going further. Had to cut and put the first piece up to see if I loved it. It's a really nice look just stark against Mahogany walls. It sat here for a few days in the construction uncovered but was easily cleaned with regular dusting wand. I'm Not sure if paint will stick but will update after experimenting with the scrap piece I cut off and some primer! Will update after working with it some more.
