I liked the pictures and price but was concerned since some of the reviews said it didn't fit the 338. I messaged the seller and they assured it does fit. Arrived today and it fits great. I pulled the complete pre-cut cutouts out first. The extended/optional cutouts have a few 1/4" uncut sections you need to complete with the included razor. Some said they were hard to see, just do under bright light and you can feel them out with your finger as well. For the optional cutouts be sure you get all the layers out. It is possible to leave some in there and it doesn't have the full depth. I made that mistake on the extended bolt cutouts and it made it sit too high. Saw the issue, pulled them out completely and it fits deep enough to close without cutting the top foam. Great case.

Well designed. Completely customizable for a Ruger Precision Rifle 300 PRC. Value priced. Cutting the internal foam to neatly accommodate the rifle requires some effort. An extendable "snap off" box cutter works best.

This is my third Case Club case. For the price this case rates right up there with Pelican, which I also have several of. The precut foam is great! My Ruger Precision fits like a glove! There is just about an inch at both ends when my gun is placed. They make just about any precut foam you need. The latch’s are sturdy & the shell is top quality. The rollers are solid. You can’t go wrong with Case Club.

It did take some cutting to make my rifle fit. They have a QR code in it to scan for directions, but viewing it on the phone was difficult because if you try to go full screen it shuts off the video. You ultimately have to scroll to see about 2/3 of the video. Some of the precuts are so hard to see that it's difficult to find them. I wound up cutting some areas and then when removing foam, saw a precut right next to it. I would have liked a video or even a diagram showing ALL the precut areas as well as suggested use. I understand this is somewhat of a custom application, but a simple drawing would have been great. As for the quality: Foam is not cheap junk. It's firm. I don't think I will be throwing my gun and case off a building, but I will have no fear of dropping it or accidentally damaging it in normal use or travel. This case is HEAVY, and the wheels work well. I'd say it's probably about 25-30lbs empty.I would buy this brand again. However, since I had to cut quite a bit, and may be a little better at cutting the second time, I would also consider a cheaper brand where I had to cut out everything myself. Overall, very pleased with this one.

A lot of people will spend thousands on expensive gear and then skimp when it comes to protecting it. Not me. I generally buy Pelicans because they are built like tanks and will last a lifetime. Buy once, cry once, so naturally I was looking at both their 1700 series cases as well as their less expensive Vault line. However, the pick and pluck foam option just isn't going to last housing a heavy rifle like the RPR and I didn't want to cut out my own foam as I don't have a single artistic bone in my body and its not cheap if you mess it up. The custom foam options are super nice, but also super expensive. That's when I came across this option from Case Club. It is roughly in line with the cost of an appropriately sized Vault, but had some robust pre-cut foam specifically intended for the RPR. Reviews looked decent so I gave it a go. Am very pleased so far, have not used it for years and years but it isn't a flimsy case by any means and it fits my short action RPR very well. Unlike the Vault line, its also waterproof though I haven't dunked mine to fully test that. Its not perfect though, I do have a few minor gripes. The case came with some minor marring which isn't a huge deal to me (I will be giving it more of that) and the pre-cut foam isn't likely to fit your exact setup perfectly either, but it is pretty close and holds the rifle very snug which is most important. It feels more durable than the Vault line, but not as durable as something like the similarly sized 1720 which weighs 5-7 pounds less. I assume a lesser grade of polymer is to blame for that.Still, I am perfectly ok with these relatively minor imperfections for the price point. You shouldn't hold a product to the standards of something that costs 50+% more that also doesn't come with quality custom foam like this one does.

I’ve bought many gun cases over the years and this is by far the best one! The other cases I’ve bought have been the cheap pull apart foam and after awhile it just falls apart but this case is made with quality foam that is precut and easy to use. A major plus is the water proof case that they included with an exacto knife to help custom cut around the pre cut foam. They also included a silica packet to help prevent rust. I’ll be buying more of these cases to fit what ever firearms I purchase in the future!
