I installed this in a 2008 VW Jetta sedan. Barely had enough cable length to make it to the back of my BOSS BV900ACP head unit in the dash. The power leads are smaller than 22 AWG (more like 24) so they are easy nick if you're not careful. The mounting frame goes behind the license plate which is nice, but as you can see in my picture the camera is still blocking some of the State lettering. Hopefully I won't get pulled over for this. The video quality is just okay for a backup camera at this price point. Unsure about reliability or longevity but hopefully I won't have to install another one anytime soon!

I Installed this in a 06 Ford explorer with a BOSS aftermarket radio. Been using it for 30 days.PROSThe video quality is decentPrice is greatEasy to install if you're comfortable tearing you Interior apart and dont mind scrapped knuckles.CONSvideo wire is not long enough and needs to be spliced. The mounting screws for the camera are cheap and are easy to strip.

I wired it directly to the reverse trigger wire off my wiring harness at the back of my stereo and that powered and turned it on with my stereo. Works great

I bought this backup camera since I had recently installed a BOSS headunit in my car - making my factory backup camera unusable. It took numerous YouTube videos to even figure out how to install this thing. Even then, I still can't get it to automatically switch to the camera when I go to reverse. This is definitely a user-error thing, but could have been mitigated if they actually provided instructions in the box. All we got was a wiring diagram which is useless for a DIY beginner.The camera quality itself is also horrible. Looks cartoony even during the day on my 9" BOSS unit. I even made sure there wasn't any film/plastic on the camera I forgot to take off.Terrible value, can't return it since I already spliced all the wires and spent too long installing

Everything fine! Installed by myself. No instructions inside but i kave knowledge about installation.Pros: Cheap, Known Boss Enterprise, all accessories inside, OEM package.Cons: Backup camera is very low quality, needed to buy another best quality, Almost no colors. Camera is WAY TO BIG even if you want to drill the hole. Camera must me installed in 45 angle degree, NOT horizontally. I believe has not Auto dimming for mirror function. Autodimm is only for LCD screen. When brightness is high, colors are saturated.In general if you need a Backup camera, for beginning it's ok. But it can't be compared to original car system for high end models.Seller ships item very fast.Mirror looks like genuine, but button feels cheap

Quick delivery. However, the mirror monitor is basically useless in the bright sunlight and can not be seen during the day. I wrote to the manufacture and they had no solution or suggestion so I will be returning the item. If it doesn't work during daylight how much good is the unit to me.
