1) Hooking it up to my phone was very simple and only took a few minutes.2) Mounting it to my dash was surprisingly simple. I didn't think there was any way the suction mount that comes with it was going to hold it at the angle I needed. But, it is holding very well.3) Installing the camera is NOT an easy or quick project. It requires crawling under the vehicle, poking holes through the carpet, and making electrical connections. If you are able to do that (or have it done) you will probably be very satisfied with the quality of the back-up camera. If you get this believing that it "installs in minutes" and "no tools required" you will be very disappointed.
