About this item

  • A bold new standard in audio performance. It may well become the primary music system in your home
  • Easy to use: no buttons, credit card-sized infrared remote, and MP3 CD capability
  • Distinctive and elegant design: streamlined styling with a thin, slot-loaded CD player
  • Changer allows uninterrupted listening from up to four CDs in succession
  • Single remote operates Wave system and CD changer--extra remote included

The acclaimed Wave music system still sets the standard for quality audio and ease of use among one-piece, table top stereos. No wonder so many people use it as their main home entertainment system. And you'll enjoy extra hours of uninterrupted CD music with the Wave music system multi-CD changer included in this package.

Simplicity by DesignThe Wave music system was engineered for easy enjoyment right out of the box. No setup required: just plug it in and you're ready to go. The FM/AM radio and CD player are built in. There's an auxiliary input for your MP3 or other portable player, and a headphone jack for keeping the music to yourself.

The system's sleek appearance is uninterrupted by buttons, with all controls on a handy, slim remote. The large display panel is brightly lit and easy to read, prominently displaying the artist, title and album names of your MP3 CDs.

The Wave music system with multi-CD changer package lets you enjoy extra hours of uninterrupted CD music. Simply slide one CD or MP3 CD into the slot on the front of the Wave music system, and up to three more into the add-on multi-CD changer. One remote controls all CD functions, plus FM/AM digital tuner, clock and alarm. A spare remote is also included.

The changer has the same small footprint as the Bose Wave music system. Together they stand less than seven inches tall and can fit almost anywhere, unlike most conventional bookshelf stereos. The CD changer also provides an additional connection for another audio source, such as an iPod or DVD player.

Unique Bose innovations account for this compact system's hearty sound. Proprietary waveguide speaker technology delivers performance well beyond the speakers' size. Two 26-inch folded waveguides are precisely tuned to amplify the output from speakers to reproduce lifelike sound from a small enclosure. You'll hear full-bodied sound, especially in lower registers, for more natural-sounding bass and percussion instruments.

Frankly, I was happy to be able to get this supposedly quality BOSE mini sound system with the ability to play 5 CDs in a row. Unfortunately, after a few uses, the 5 CD eject system does not work properly. Only a small part of the CD disc appears when ejecting it that I have to manually remove by pinching it with my fingers to remove it, which leaves fingerprints on the disc playback. In addition, when I want to change the track number, the change does not always happen, indicating the "READING DISC" inscription remaining frozen. I have to turn off the system completely and try to go back to the beginning of the disc. Even if it is defective, as a Canadian buyer for this item, it is not returnable for a refund because it is sold by an American seller, which I realized after carefully reading the Amazon purchase guarantee. *Pay attention to this important detail. Now I understand why so many of these $900 CAD Bose systems are being sold as second-hand goods.

PROS:This Refurbished Bose performs just as I had hoped for. I was nervous purchasing used but couldn't find a multiple CD player on the market - what the heck?! I didn't want to invest thousands into a stereo system. to get amazing sound. Totally worth the money as the sound quality is phenomenal. CDs are far better than digital sound, and on a Bose - just riveting!CONS:A little patience is required loading / playing all the CD for the first time - no biggie as instructions are simple and included.I needed to replace the remote battery right away - no biggie. It's a bit noisy when the CDs auto-load. But, it is totally worth the high quality sound.Overall: The unit is playing perfectly. My large downstairs area is drenched in glorious music. I'm so grateful to have this player.

It is now just a few days short of a year from the time I bought this system to replace the older Bose model. The tall changer had been giving me problems and I was tired of sending it back and forth for repair, so I invested in this model. Bose no longer makes the multiple changer system, but I bought a refurbished one. I even--sort of--got used to using a remote rather than on-unit controls. As of this weekend, the Wave system will no longer recognize the CD slot that is built into the main unit. I called for technical assistance and after a few minutes of "plug, unplug" was told that this unit has not been made for over a decade and Bose no longer supports it, so there is nothing they can do. So I invested nearly $2000 for a system that worked moderately well for about 350 days....now I have an AM/FM radio with mediocre reception. I do not know whether the fault lies with Bose or the retailer, but I have enough frustration to share with both! Beware...refurbished sometimes may not be as viable an option as it seems!

I saved up for this unit - it was worth every cent. Can't enthuse enough about the sound quality in such a small unit. It really is the next best thing to sitting in a concert hall listening to an orchestra. The addition of the 3 disc changer is a bonus I'm glad I paid the extra money for. Someone said in a review they didn't like the sound it made when discs were changing - oh come on now; it's momentary, and I don't find it a big deal. Worth every cent.
