I usually buy Freud exclusively, but thought I'd try these out ... not a very clean hole and the cutting is slow even in softer woods.

Sehr scharf; absolut gutes, ausrißfreies Schnittbild! Zu beachten ist, dass je nach Holzart Späne den Bohrer zusetzen und ein Bohrloch nicht "in einem Zug" angefertigt werden kann, sondern mehrfach eingetaucht werden muss, empfehleneswert daher mit einem Bohrständer oder einer Ständerbohrmaschine zu verwenden, um ein tadelloses Bohrloch zu erreichen.

I used another forstner before and this caused a lot of frustration. It slipped and hardly a good whole.Famag drill is a different catagory !! Very easy to use and does what you want: drill nice clean wholes through 3 cm of wood! Finally able to drill my own Bench dog wholes.
