arrived obviously used, some extra long screws had been used to join it, so the aluminum was bent there. the joint is kind of flimsy and it wobbles there. the clamp works, but only most of the time, you have to fiddle with it.it works OK, but for the price I was expecting new and higher quality. wouldn't buy this brand again.

Great long straight edge. I found the integrated clamps a bit of challenge. However once you figure out how the 'stop' sets itself I'd say it's okay. Sometimes I use additional end clamps to supplement. Set screws come out easily to break down 1/2 length for storage and transport

Works as advertised. Yes the screws were real tight and seemed like they were gonna strip but I used a good screw driver and took my time. Yes it seemed like it wasn't straight at the joint when put together, but I loosened all 8 screws and snuggled them up after I aligned the 2 sections at the joint. Clamps worked nicely as they should and held for all (8) 84 inch cuts I made.

I received the product and some of the measurement marking were rubbed off completely. I had it put together in one length to test then took it back apart to store, not realizing I had the stopper end still on the extension, I slid it off to move to the main section and it fell apart. After a few tries I got it back together but it is not holding very tight. I used it for the first time last night and wasn't confident it wouldn't move, so I had to use separate clamps to keep it secure.

It is over 1/4 out over 8 feet. The clamping pressure isn't strong enough to hold onto a piece of wood, and the aluminum they use is too lightweight to hold a straight line, leading to curved cuts, and worse of all, there is no way to make the two halves straight with each other. They give you 4 holes, to screw the halves togeather, but they aren't aligned... I wasted so much time and energy trying to get a straight cut, so you don't have to.

The clamping power of this guide is horrible I tried using it to cut groves in my reloading bench to install T-track. I had to use clamps to insure the guide didn’t move. The clamp on the guide is worthless.

Received track with damaged packaging and minor cosmetic scratches but in usable condition. I used the track to cut some white oak boards 8ft long. Boards were barn wood and the edges needed to be straight. The guide has a good clamping system and did stay in place to complete the cutting. It is shipped in two pieces and supplied with fasteners to make it one piece. I would recommend purchasing a track sled also to insure a straight cut.

As seen in another review before I got a set, and I thought it would be an issue limited to a manufacturing batch, the rail set I got had an issue where there is no proper continuity of graduations between the first and second set of rails. The graduations of the extensions are offset in a way that if continuity is desired, there would be a gap between the two rails...If you care about the graduation accuracy (I didn't really) then I don't recommend this product at all. Also, the locking mechanism used to pair the two rails is not great to help ensuring the co-linearity of the rails. When setting up the extension, one needs to put the rails against a straighter edge, then set the locking screws... and then regularly check the alignment.

I use this tool often in my shop, and it has proven invaluable for large items such as table tops, large piece of plywood, and other items too big for my table saw or bandsaw.
