This track matches up to my genuine Festool tracks. The track is very well made, there are anti friction strips on the topside, and two foam rubber strips on the bottom to hold the track in place on your work. The anti tear out strip needs a first cut performed to establish the cut line so you can line that edge to your marks. Works great.

I know a Makita track saw will run on Festool Track and that a Festool will run on a Makita track but there is one major difference that a persons should be aware of before purchasing a Festool track for a Makita. Festool uses a different anti-tipping feature than does Makita. Makita has a button (Pic 4) that pushes out under a ridge in the track (Pic 3). If you notice Festool does not have that ridge in that location so when you use a Makita on a Festool track you do not have the ability to lock the saw in preventing it from tipping. There are other minor differences between the two but nothing that really affects performance in my view. Now looking at the particular track, the rubber gripping on the bottom and the slide plastic on the top appears to be pretty identical to the Festool track. From my perspective this track will perform very well as a replacement track for a Festool track saw. This will work on a Makita track saw but it probably is not the best choice if you want to lock your Makita into the track.
