It's good enough in lieu of a genuine tracksaw. I have a machinists straight edge and the sections of the one that I received have subtle bowing or variation. This guide is not suitable for making a true glue edge. This is better than following a chalk line freestyle. This is ok for making straight cuts that are not going to be glued. After using my circular saw and this guide, a pass with a flush trim bit in a router, using the edge of a sheet of MDF as a guide, was necessary to get a perfect glue edge.

This tool is very handy, it's very compact. If you do not use it very often, it folds up compactly, which is very convenient for storage and transportation. The tool assembles easily and quickly, the main thing is to assemble evenly. It takes me 7 minutes to assemble the tool. I recommend to everyone who needs to saw large sheets, for them the tool is not replaceable. It gives excellent accuracy as a professional machine.

It wasn't perfectly clear to me that what I was buying was 4 24" sections. This isn't a problem, it just takes a bit to assemble. I agree with other reviewers that the "cutline indicators" are more trouble than they're worth. The assembled unit works as expected. The adjustable piece is all plastic. The similar 24" and 48" items I have, from other vendors, use metal. So, I'll see how long this lasts. My advice is to also buy a 48" guide, if you plan to use it more than once a year. The set screws would probably make you crazy while breaking this down to the shorter length.

This guide worked perfectly! I had a hall tree project that required I cut many pieces out of a couple sheets of very expensive cabinet grade plywood. This guide allowed me to use my existing circular saw to make perfect cuts instead of buying or renting a table saw. Highly recommend!

It makes your cuts straight and true. Takes a few minutes to put it together as it comes in 4 sections. The set screws and the provided Allen wrench are a bit of a miss mach so be careful not to strip them out. It is super light but kind of a pain to disassemble to make smaller so I would recommend just storing it as the full set. The saw blade markers are awesome make it fast to set the correct line, but you have to set them left handed or right handed. They could have made it ambidextrous which would have made this thing basically flawless. It's a fraction of the cost of their tracksaw kit and if you're somewhat handy this will get you 90% there.

Cómo plantilla para cantear muy buena, cumple perfectamente. Cómo regla para utilizarla no porque es muy pesada. Es una excelente herramienta.

I set up the bars that if I placed the part before or after the line (see pictures) would determine which way i'm cutting. In that, which way I measured. Facing it, if i measure from the left I wanted to have them on the left side of the line so it would be accurate, and if I measured from right, right side of line. This was due to depending on the cuts I had to make, sometimes the greatest amount of plywood left would be on 1 side or the other, but my saw always runs from the handle. It's how I set it up. The thickness of the pointer on the plastic arms is right around the thickness of my blade. It might be off 1/16 from the exact size of the blade, but not enough to make a difference when cutting plywood for cabinets IMO. I am finishing my basement that includes cabinets for a kitchenette. See picture of installed bases pre doors/countertop. These were all cut with this tool on 3/4 plywood. I used an online website to get cuts so i could purchase the least amount of plywood. Used this tool to make all the cuts. The reason for the lines is to double check my measurments. I have a tendacy to measure 3.5" at the 2.5 (opposite side of the 3) without realizing. So I'll use my T square 48" long and make the cut line and just verify that i'm not F'ing up. I also wanted to make sure the cuts were right on the line. Besides some wobble here or there when I wasn't holding it steady against the track, you could just see a sliver of line left. Perfect for how I measure/mark. I think the cabinets look good and this tool was perfect for me and not too expensive.

I looked over several options to get a straight edge guide for saw/router. Picked this one partially on being Kreg branded and I've like their jigs in the past.I will say I'm unhappy with the purchase. the length of it comes in 4 pieces, but to connect them together, you need to put a two piece bar locking mechanism inside the groves (with small screw-pins to lock in) creating a lot of pieces to keep track of. Also the pieces don't have 'key' to make sure they are straight as you line them up, you'll need to make sure they are straight as you put them together. also no carrying case of any form for all the bits and bobbles, you'll need to get a couple baggies and something strong enough for the metal connection bars. The 'locking' mechanism is poor. you have a sliding brace on one side, with spring loaded tension from the other. to secure it, you need to pull on the whole bar, slide the stop forward then release it, and hoping you didn't slide it off mark, which you will, and then need to slide it, while it is tightened. The bracing components pushing against your work pieces extends past the guide bar, making it harder to line up with square.materials themselves are decent quality, probably the best thing I can say about the product.overall, would not recommend, go with any of the other lock
