I tinker with small engines so I use this kit lapping valves. The suction cups come in a couple of sizes and are easy to remove and install but I would not recommend swapping them out all the time due to the possibility of the cups spinning time will tell seems in the durability department they will last a while for DIY . Nice tool

This valve lapping kit is perfect to use on my new tractor engine head, its a simple tool but an effective tried and true method. I was considering a drill-driven kitbut i read many many comments that especially for beginners the hand tool version is much safer to use. I like the assortment of sizes the kit comes with, no issues.

This is a good cheap set of valve lapping tools. The cups stick well enough to get your valves back in shape. The extra suction cups are nice to have when you wear the original ones out. Good buy!

This is great for the do it yourselfer that is doing some valve work, it includes different sized cups, this is nice as some of the valves I lap are small in diameter, but it also includes cups for larger valves. The handles and cups fit together nice so they do not slip, the cups have good suction ( a little spit or water helps ).

I learned about lapping valves when the timing belt in the Neon broke. All the valves were bent...so when I rebuilt the head in the process of fixing the engine, I learned how to lap a valve.Or, maybe, I tried to apply what I learned to lap the valves when I was rebuilding the head. The Neon is still going...so I must have gotten close to getting it right. This is a nice tool with a number of suction cups for different size valves.Lapping a valve isn't hard if you have the right tool. This is the right tool.
