Pretty much does what it says it does and does it better than a hand held compression checker would. No leaks, easy to installand easy to figure out. Different sized threaded tips for different sized plugs makes the joint air tight, for presumably, accurate measurements. I’m reading compression levels maybe 3 times a year. If that…this set is built well, lots of brass and solid threaded pieces…I won’t need another tool anytime soon. If you’re a guy like methat reads compression levels not so often, but wants a decent way to do it when you need to check major problems, needs to be able to go solo…here’s some help.

Motorcycle mechanics listen up, there is an important detail about this compression gauge that makes it a must-have. For a compression gauge to read properly on a motorcycle, the schrader valve needs to be located at the end of the hose fitting. Inexpensive compression gauges will not have the valve located here, and on motorcycles that will cause low readings. It also means its a quick easy removal to use the hose and adapter for a leak down test after checking compression.Overall a relatively accurate set like this for the price is a good deal.
