I don’t know how many spokes that I have replaced that would likely lasted longer if I had this tool to make the tension consistent among all spokes. Highly recommend it.

I benchmarked this against a friend's Park TM-1, and this one's tension readings were far lower than they were supposed to be. Also, with this one the spokes can get caught on the edge of the flanges (at the base of the bosses), which will give you a further inaccurate reading. I regret buying this tool, and I'm going to replace it with a Park one.

Got this after seeing all the positive reviews and was in a pinch so needed one till my new set up arrived. First impressions was it looked nice and seemed like it was going to be a good purchase. However after starting my wheel build I went to check the kgf and something seemed off. Continued the build and spokes started to get tight but readings still showed low tension.Decided to cross check the tool on 3 sets of wheels built the prior week. It showed low tension on everything. No biggie, I just adjusted the tension screw to compensate and rechecked. It was still showing low tension. Spent some time trying to get it dialed in but it always showed too low or too high. Borrowed a Park TM1 and all tensions were spot on.For some reason this tool just would not calibrate. Just spend the money and get a tool that works and is backed by a warranty.

Gets the job done. I've worked on 5-6 wheels, now, with good results. Be sure to deflate the tire if you're doing the service while the wheel is on the bike! And use the Park Tool app (online).The torsional spring sticks out further than it needs to, which can snag your finger if you're not careful.

I was skeptical to not buy the original, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Constructed with sturdy material. Easy to use and easy to read. Cannot verify the accuracy, but all that matters if you just want to do a quick true at home is to compare each spoke’s tension to the others and get them close to each other with your spoke wrench. Strongly recommend.

After breaking a light triple butted spoke on my 1400g wheelset I borrowed a parktool tension tool from a friend and found it highly valuable as I was pushing up against the limits of the spokes in trueing the wheel (also helps a lot in balancing tension around the wheel). I immediately ordered this and found it equivalent in quality and in readings. Thats about all I can ask for in a cheap tool like this.

Just got this and I was surprised this tool is so well made and CALIBRATED! Comes with good instructions and a spoke size measurement tool. Tested it on a problem wheel and works great so far.
