Park Tool's line of double-ended spoke wrenches are a comfortable and functional option for truing bicycle wheels with specialty spoke nipples. Each Park Tool SW-14.5 is made in the USA, and is precision-machined, nickel plated and vinyl-dipped for long service.
The Park Tool SW-14.5 is designed to fit select Shimano wheels including models in the Dura-Ace, Ultegra, XTR, Deore, and WH lines:
- 4.4mm square nipples

Clearly not a top rated tool but I only needed it for half a dozen spokes and may never use it again. For that, it worked decent enough, but it can slip on stubborn, rusted spoke collars as the tool is a bit sloppy on tolerance. Unfortunately, old wheels have a lotta rusted spokes.....ymmv...

I don't have the best calipers on Earth but 0.19mm is way too sloppy! I don't even want to try tensioning my spokes with this. My other spoke wrenches are made by Park Tool and they fit perfectly. I'm not sure what happened with this one. I'll be returning it as soon as I can.

I had a job as a bike mechanic in the mid-1990s. Man miss those days, my own boss and doing warranty repairs at book rate labor for $30/hr in my early 20s was stupid cash. Plus like 30 mins to put on a chain? I'd did it in 5 mins so was billing over $100/hr many days. Anyway, enough glory day talk. Back then I invested in all Park Tool gear. Repair stand, wheel truing stand, wrenches, free wheel and crank tools... money well spent and it all paid for itself in a few weeks.Sold it all in the 90s but getting back into classic BMXs and buying the best tools again.

While I still prefer a traditional style spoke wrench, this one definitely gets the job done and will last forever.

This wrench will fit Shimano Dura Ace WH-7850-SL (scandium rim w/6-sided external thread nipple at the rim) BUT is a little loose by 1/10 mm which yields maybe 20 degrees of play. Not a perfect fit but works in a pinch.Actual size of this wrench is 4.4 & 3.75 (you can see the stamping in the pic). Title currently says 4.3, that's wrong.The partner tool is Park SW-14, it matches perfectly. Nipple flats measure 4.3mm ideally.

Weird that such a simple tool would be such a pleasure to use but this is the case with this wrench. After going through a few Shimano branded wrenches that strip and fall apart almost immediately it was a joy to use this much higher quality tool that gives you the leverage you need to do multiple adjustments when doing a full wheel true/dish. Excellent tool.
