Pencils are easy to hold and the variety of colours allow for colouring of lots of subjects. The pencil leads do not break easily and there are no issues with sharpening

These are perfect for my toddler to hold and learn finger placement. Unfortunately, they barely show on the paper unless you press down harder. Unless your toddler has an iron grip on a pencil and likes to heavy hand their drawings, I would suggest these for Kindergarten level.
