I got this to replace an ancient wooden pen that I use and have been using for about 30 years!It's really come to the end of its life and the nibs are no longer securing in it.My first impressions are that I'm not keen on holding it, the plastic is quite slippy and I'm used to getting better grip.It's also a lot smaller than what I've been used to.The nibs that come with it are okay, this set would be fantastic for a beginner I would give them a great way to experiment to see what suits them best.I don't think this is my new pen, I think I'll have to keep on looking but that is just through personal choice not through the fault of the pen.This pen offers good value for money and a great way to get started into drawing with ink.

These aren't the best nibs but they're currently only £2.49 and I think for the price you can't complain. There's plenty of different nibs and whilst I didn't test each one, the few I did work well enough, I perhaps wouldn't use them for masterworks but I'll be kidding anyone if I could produce that anyway. What I am a bit confused about is that the handle, to me, feels a bit like plastic, but the page does state "pen nib holder is made of quality wood" and this rubs me the wrong way as the materials listed are: Stainless steel, plastic.Perhaps I'm wrong but there's a mistake there somewhere in the page.The nibs take a bit of effort to push into the holder, they do fit but you need to be careful not to bend the nib as you do it.Other than that, I think they're okay because they're £2.49 and that's a really cheap price so as long as you're aware you get what you pay for, then I don't think you can go wrong at this price.

Bought this for my wife while waiting for a more expensive version to arrive, disappointed because most of the nibs won't fit the holder. Some are too wide, others are too narrow to be held in place. Out of all the nibs included we could only get two inserted correctly, one other we can insert, but it feels like it will drop off in use.
