My jeep g-ch have a 722.6 -nag 1 the same transmission of my uncle mercedes s320 1999.This filter is the real deal like this better than oem filtran brand. Good quality i change my atf filter and oil every 40,000 or 4 year what comes first.150,000 miles o problems

Beck Arnley is a quality brand that I have used in the past, and this product was no different. It featured OEM level quality for the filter and the gasket, and has been great as a replacement after servicing the transmission.The filter has a tab that clips into the valve body just like the OE application. I have read some filters do not feature the holding tab.It helps to lay out the gasket hours prior to installation so the gasket can lay flat after being packed in its box. When installing, use a flashlight to see that the gasket does not slip off the lip of the trans pan.

I wanted to do my own transmission oil change and was looking for a really good new filter kit. Luckily I found this! I was a cheaper alternative to the OEM Mercedes one that I was looking at. I have a C230 2000, and regularly this thing needs some kind of maintenance. Although the manufacturer even says the transmission on the car doesn't need to be changed because it has a lifetime sealed transmission oil fluid, system. Mechanics recommend that I don't change the fluid, but reading around forums I found out that I should. Because as the fluid gets older it starts to degrade. So I ended up doing my own transmission oil change and bought this.I thought to myself I might as well change the filter while I'm under the car. So I bought this kit, and so far my car is running just fine. No signs of any problems, and I feel like everything is working a bit smoother than it did before. Installing it was easy as all you have to do is drain the oil from the transmission pan, take off the transmission pan, remove the old O-Ring and filter. Then clean it all up, and apply the new one and bolt everything back together. Pretty simple and cheap!

Was a good kit for my Mercedes 722.6 transmission. Gasket fit good and not leaks so far. My only issue was the filter fit. I had a hard time getting it to "click" into the opening. I had to play around with it and eventually file a few burrs from the neck that inserts into the valve body. Took a few tried but then it went in where it was supposed to. Trans seems to be working fine. PS: I used the Valvoline MaxLife ATF which is full synthetic and on the approved list of MB fluids. Some use Shell (which is more expensive) while others seem to like to pay more and buy the "Mercedes" fluid at $18 qt.I paid $20 a gallon for the MaxLife and it works great and is on the MB list, otherwise I would not have used an unapproved product.
