This replaces the threaded plastic piece on the transmission filter. This one will not fail like the plastic one that comes with the filter.

Does not work and you will not notice it does not, trans was still draining from the filter housing when I installed new filter and I noticed the filter was then getting fluid running down the side of it. Tried 3 different ways of installing. Adapter in the trans first. Adapter in the filter first and installing filter with filter cup. Never could get it to not be leaking. The center section is to thick and is unable to work in a 68rfe
