I used this to fit a floating mantelpiece and it worked perfectly. The mantel is securely fixed, no flexing when leaned on. I would use this product again.

Beware— more complicated than anticipated!Sturdy frame, but will definitely require wall anchors since the poles are too close to out both into studs. I was able to position one hole in a stud but the remaining screws required anchors aka lots of big holes in my wall.Support poles are 6” long and I needed 3 different drill bits in order to drill far enough into my 2x8 boards. Also needed a drill press and power driver to get the job done. Using a 1/2” drill bit will be the perfect fit to keep everything snug.I also carved out the back of the shelf in order to allow the shelf to sit flush against the wall.Overall I’m very happy with the outcome, but these were not the quick, easy, project I was hoping for

These shelf brackets are very solid and make it fairly easy to mount shelves on a wall with no visible support. In other words words, “floating shelves.”For my project I made a double layer of 1/2” plywood with a 1/2” space between the two plywood boards. The rods projecting from these shelf brackets are 1/2” in diameter so it was easy to slide the shelves onto the rods after mounting the brackets to the wall. I bought pre-primed pine boards to finish off the outer edges of the shelves.These brackets are excellent value and work very well.

I had bought these back in December, well when I received them there were pieces missing. So Amazon said they were sending me a replacement set. When I received them 3out of 4 were missing. I bought new ones that were pure crap. Their customer service had reached out to me and explained a few things I was unaware of. They offered to send me directly a new set of brackets. Guess what? They arrived in perfect condition and they were all there. I chose these because of their design, they are strong and sturdy, and so easy to install. They get all 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me. The hardware in the kit is not going to keep this on a wall with no studs to screw to. You''ll need at least one hollow wall anchor. Also the arms are not straight from base to tips making it necessary to have hole much larger then the pins or it will jam half way down. requiring trying removing them from the pin which will tear the whole thing rom the wall.

This product has an obvioius design flaw that people should be aware of. It is a nice and study piece of hardware, but the 16" length of the base is 2" short because the holes for the scrrews are 1" inside the ends of the base, so they are 14" apart instead of the 16" required to hit studs that are 16" on center. This was very disappointing to me because I have a heavy floating shelf that requires solid support, which is best supplied by screwing into studs at both ends of the base. This is not possible with the screw holes only 14" apart. The base needs to be extended 1" at both ends so that the holes for the screws will more likely match the width of the undelying studs.

One of the two brackets that I received was warped out of shape making it unusable. I was also missing the drywall anchors that are supposed to be included, however I wouldn't have trusted them anyway.The one unbent bracket looks ok, but I wouldn't say it looks or feels very strong (probably why one was out of shape before it even arrived).In summary they're cheaper than others for a reason, so don't purchase thinking you're going to get a premium product, but if you're not planning on putting too much weight on it they could be ok.

I bought these to put up a shelf in my son's room. The biggest point is to take your time to ensure everything lines up well. I don't have a drill press so I used a drill guide to make sure my holes were straight and the correct depth. I used a laser level to ensure my brackets were level. I realize that everyone does not have a laser level, but I think everyone should... they are awesome! HD and Lowes did not have sufficiently thick shelves to hide the hardware so I went to a local lumber yard who easily filled my order. I used a 1.5 inch thick shelf. I took the advice of other reviewers and used a 1/2 inch bit - this worked out great. You may have to re-work some of the routing around the base of the brackets to make the shelf conceal the bases, but that was not too tough. My biggest issue was that I installed an 8 foot shelf and my drywall walls are not perfectly flat! Some printable caulk fixed the issue well enough to remove the gap between the wall and the shelf. This is not a project for a total novice, but, if you take your time and make good measurements, it is not too difficult.

We LOVE these brackets! W needed the brackets to be strong enough to hold dishes and other kitchen items and they are! A year later and they are solid without any wobble or sagging. The screw in the center of the square bracket is pointed. These are the screws the posts will attach to. They provide an easy template for drilling holes in the shelf. You install the square brackets on the wall 16" apart where the studs are, and then you can line the shelf up and tap it lightly with a hammer to mark the spot on the back of the shelf where you need to drill the holes. Perfect template with no other measuring required. After you mark your holes, install the posts and drill holes in your shelf. We used a dowel jig slightly smaller than they recommended to drill the holes - did not need a drill press. A friend of ours loves them so much she asked if we would put shelves just like it in her kitchen as a Christmas present. So this is our third order. Only complaint is that they sell them in 4 packs only. We needed 6 so we had to order more than we really wanted. Wish they would offer other size packages with a discount for larger packages. Otherwise, these are great!!
